2017 Nadando Cerca del Cielo

Courtesy of Nadando Cerca del Cielo or XI Torneo Internacional de Natación en Aguas Abiertas, Lago Titicaca on the border of Peru and Bolivia.

The XI Torneo Internacional de Natación en Aguas Abiertas was held this year on May 6th.

For the past 10 years, the 7.5 km (3.8-mile) point-to-point, high-altitude lake swim (for both soloists and relays) has been held at 3,811 meters (12,500 feet) above sea level.

The course goes from the Isla de la Luna to the Isla del Sol in Lake Titicaca, Bolivia.
