47 Years And Thriving, Jarak-Šabac Marathon Swim

The 47th International Jarak-Šabac Marathon Swim, formally known as the Plivački maraton Jarak-Šabac (“Peace Race”), is a professional 19 km marathon swim that has been unfailingly held during times of international sanctions, war and peace along the River Sava in Šabac, Serbia.

Previous race winner and long-time race director Vojislav Mijić says, “The marathon will take place on August 7th. The swimmers and their coaches will be provided with 2 days hotel accommodation and full board in Šabac from August 6th to 8th. Each swimmer will be accompanied by an escort boat with their coach.

The prize money is €3600 with first place receiving €1000 euros, second place €500, and third place €300 for both men and women.”
