Tony Sibio, the event director for the Swim Across America Long Island Sound, announced the events in Long Island Sound raised US$1,000,000 over the summer.

“We are the oldest, largest community within Swim Across America events, and over the last 21 years, together, we have raised $15 million.

Our sound swim was met with a beautiful, picture-perfect day to accompany our new course – with a jump off the dock – that was received with positive feedback. Volunteers and spectators mentioned how great it was to see the swimmers from land, and some are even excited to jump in next year now that the course allows swimmers to see land on one side throughout the swim. We look forward to seeing you all back next year.”
