Tori Gorman (Australia, 44, MSF bio here) completed a 32.3 km 12 hour 41 minute crossing of the Catalina Channel in 2015 to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
Gorman’s crossing was supported by her fellow Triple Crowners Kent Nicholas (USA, MSF bio here), David Barra (USA, MSF bio here), Becky Jackman-Beeler (USA, MSF bio here), and Channel Swimming Federation observer Kelley Prebil, herself a Catalina Channel swimmer.

Gorman, an inducted honouree of the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, tells her detailed first-person story of her crossing here on her website. It is a very good retelling of her challenge.
