Winter Swimming World Cup Argentina Amid Glaciers

Matías Ola organizes the Winter Swimming World Cup Argentina with Nadando Argentina in his native country’s national glacier park.

Ola says, “It is the most beautiful winter swimming World Cup in the world. It is held between August 12th – 18th in El Calafate.

El Calafate is a city in Patagonia, Argentina situated in the southern border of Lake Argentino in the southwest part of the Santa Cruz Province, about 320 km Northwest of Río Gallegos.

  • Day 1: Arrival in El Calafate, Santa Cruz
  • Day 2: 25-50m races in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares
  • Day 3: 500m and 1000m swim in Club Nautico Lago Argentino El Calafate
  • Day 4: 50m, 100m, 200m, 4×25 races in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares
  • Day 5: 25m, 200m, 4x25m races in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares
  • Day 6: 1000m race and Gala Party at Club Nautico Lago Argentino El Calafate
