Sandycove Island Swimmers Inducted In Hall of Fame – Marathon Swimming Ireland

The Sandycove Island Swimmers is an open water swimming club centered at Sandycove Island, established in 2010. It is a Swim Ireland-affiliated open water club of convenience for adult competent open water swims based in Munster or who wish to swim in Munster open water events.

A center for marathon swimming, the organization is managed by Chairperson Liz Buckley, Treasurer Eoin O’Riordan, Secretary Ned Denison and Donal Buckley, Danny Coholan, Lisa Cummins, Gábor Molnár and Owen O’Keefe and was recognized by the Hall of Fame – Marathon Swimming Ireland as an Honour Contributor, Organisation.

Kieran Fitzgerald, a Class of 2018 Honoree, announced the following five new Honorees in the Hall of Fame – Marathon Swimming Ireland:

* Honour Contributor Stephen Millar, Administrator
* Honour Contributor Sandycove Island Swimmers, Organisation
* Honour Swimmer Anne-Marie Ward
* Honour Swimmer Gráinne Moss (née Gunn)
* Honour Swimmer Ion Lazarenco Tiron
* Honour Swimmer Ned Denison

Miller and his fellow inductees will be honored at an awards ceremony in Belfast in February, 2019.
