When the going gets tough in the ocean, Patrick Roach goes in.
“Pat is on our Ocean Positive Foundation Team and I have trusted him with my life in waters around the world,” said Bruckner Chase about the 20-year veteran with the United States Coast Guard who has extensive experience with saves in open water of all kinds. “He is invaluable as a team member with his wisdom, knowledge and skills as a helicopter rescue swimmer.”
Roach assisted Chase with the Toa o le Tai program in American Samoa [shown above]. “I was able to help improve on people’s swimming, in teaching them to try and be strong and more relaxed in the water. I have never been anywhere that is so tropical and beautiful. The people have been great to me.”
