Marty Filipowski Achieves Triple Crown

Australian Marty Filipowski became the third person on August 15th to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming at the 28.5-mile (45.8 km) 20 Bridges Circumnavigation Swim of Manhattan.

In addition to Tracy Clark and Patrick McNight, Filipowski completed the swim in 7 hours 38 minutes.

Filipowski joins fellow Aussies James Pittar, Penny Palfrey (in 2010 and 2015), Michael Renford, Barbara Pellick, Ceinwen Roberts, Lisa Delaurentis, Lachlan Hinds, Pete Tanham, and Tori Gorman as a Triple Crowner.
