The world’s best professional marathon swimmers will converge on Santos, Brazil for the the International Aquatic Marathon of Saints (Maratona Aquática Internacional de Santos in Portuguese) on January 31st for the first major 10K pro competition of the year.
Additionally, Shelley Taylor-Smith will headline a FINA Open Water Swimming Clinic from January 28th – 31st.
Shelley will work in conjunction with the key individuals who bring the FINA 10K World Cup to Brazil: International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame swimmer Igor de Souza (Race Director), Cristiane Fanzeres (Open Water Swimming Team Manager); Ricardo Ratto and Wilson Mattos for three days of jam-packed information covering all aspects of competitive open water swimming.
Day 1: Presentations on rules, local and national competitions, opinion poll, future of open water swimming
Day 2: Keynote speech by Shelley Taylor-Smith
Day 3: Technical Congress and round table discussion
