Barbara Pellick, Endurance Swimmer Extraordinaire

Barbara Pellick of Western Australia is one of the most soft-spoken, humble marathon swimmers one can ever have the pleasure of meeting.

She is always willing to lend a hand and an ear to those who seek your knowledge and wish to benefit from her experience.

A veteran of over 20 years of marathon swimming with a 12:23 solo English Channel swim, a three-way relay team English Channel swim, an 8:15 fourth-place finish in the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, an unprecedented 120K Lake Taupo three-way relay crossing, an incredible 22 individual Rottnest Channel solo swims, the first non-stop double crossing of the Rottnest Channel, and numerous other ocean swims under her belt.

Barbara is usually one of the first contacts for people wishing to take up ocean swimming. Her knowledge is second to none and she is always happy to be of assistance wherever possible,” said Peter King.

An encyclopedia of knowledge on ocean swimming, Barbara is a true treasure of the sport.
