2016 Olympic gold medalist Ferry Weertman got a little more training in warm water for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games marathon swim in Chun’an, China.
He won the season-ending FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series race in Chun’an that is a good indication that he will be ready for Tokyo.
But Kristóf Rasovszky sewed up the overall Series victory with a 5th place finish after a particularly long season that went from Doha, Qatar and Seychelles to Setúbal, Portugal, Balatonfüred, Hungary, Lac St Jean Lac Megantic, Canada, Ohrid, Macedonia and Nantou, Chinese Taipei from February to September 2019.
