Also on the same day that Sabrina Wiedmer crossed the Dál Riata Channel on June 29th, an Irish team of Michelle Booker, Donagha McDonagh, Rose Long, Barry O’Connor, Michelle White and Noel Grimes was also successful.
The team left from Donaghadee, Co. Down as the Celtic Kippers relay team completed a crossing from Ireland to the southwest coast of Scotland in 13 hours 36 minutes 34 seconds.
The average water temperature they faced was 11°C as they traversed over the 42.1 km marathon distance.
