Gerda Holla Becomes the Newest Iron Icewoman

Gerda Holla, a 49-year-old Dutch extreme athlete became the most recent Iron Icewoman by completing both an Ice Mile and a full Ironman triathlon.

After three Ice Kilometers and other qualifying swims, Holla became an Ice Miler in January 2020 in Oostwoud, The Netherlands in 4.30°C water and 4.40°C air, completing the mile in 32 minutes 4 seconds.

She became the 17th Iron Icewoman in history when she completed the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam on September 9th in 14 hours 45 minutes.
