With one week to go for the start of the 2011 FINA World Championships 2011, 181 countries and 2,220 athletes have registered for the 14th edition of FINA’s premier championship event.During the 16-day competition, 40 finals will be held in Swimming (July 24-31), 10 in Diving (July 16-24), seven in Synchronised Swimming (July 17-23), six in Open Water Swimming (July 19-23 including the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim qualification races) and two in Water Polo (July 17-30). The championships will be broadcast in High Definition by CCTV, although details of the availability of the open water swimming broadcast, especially on the Olympic 10K qualihave yet to be confirmed.
