Italy swept the inaugural 10K marathon swim at the 26th Universiade (World University Games) when Rachele Bruni won the women’s event along with male teammate Simone Ruffini. The race was held in Seven Star Bay in Shenzhen, China on August 13th under rave reviews. The first event of the 26th Universiade kicked off the event in grand style under a bright sunny day with the water temperature a bit over 30C.
