Ernie Hoftyzer (USA, 54, MSF bio here) is a 46-year-old American from Davis, California. After his English Channel crossing of 11 hours 49 minutes, he became the 129th person to successfully complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.

He completed a crossing of the Catalina Channel in 9 hours 36 minutes in 2012, the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 8 hours 9 minutes in 2014, and finally the English Channel on July 26th 2016 [where he is shown above].
