The Tri-Hampton YMCA Swim Team Swim Team in Pennsylvania is sending its top three distance swimmers to the USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships in California. Dylan Ludwick, Shane McKenzie and Alex Naglich will compete in the 5K and will take on the renowned California teams – like the Mission Viejo Nadadores and the Irvine AquaZots – in the new 4K Open Water Pursuit races.
Working together as they do in their home pool, the Trio Team will draft closely off of one another in the Pursuit in order to minimize their drag and efficiently slipstream through the water. Coach Dave Prutow said, “They are all very hard workers and they’re looking forward to racing individually and as a team.”
