Trent Grimsey & Joanie Guillemette-Simard Sweep Lac Mégantic

Trent Grimsey and Joanie Guillemette-Simard sweep the 1K sprint race on Friday evening and the main 10K race on Saturday at the new FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup race – the 5th Traversée Internationale du Lac Mégantic in Lac Mégantic in Québec, Canada

27 athletes (15 men and 12 women from 5 federations) raced 10K across Lac Mégantic under sunny skies and kicked-up surface chop. Trent won comfortably with Simon Tobin of Canada in second and teammate Zac Parks in third. On the women’s side, Joanie Guillemette-Simard (1st), Jade Dusablon (2nd) and Heidi George (3rd) came into the finish chute together. The race was exciting to the end. [Read More…]
