The Newport Beach Monster Mile

The JG Monster Mile or the Newport Beach Monster Mile is an annual 2-mile biathlon (1-mile swim + 1-mile run) held in Newport Beach for the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguards.

The event consists of a 1-mile run from the Balboa Pier to 10th Street, and a 1-mile swim back. Participants can wear a costume and use fins for the swim.
