The Bled Winter Swimming Cup is coming up soon, relatively speaking. In order to prepare to swim well and safely in the 5°C water on February 11th 2012, acclimatization should begin soon.
The idyllic Alpine Lake Bled, with an enchanting island and mysterious ancient cliff-top castle, was the host of 2010 World Winter Swimming Championships. This event led to a continuation of the cold-water excitement in the form of Winter Swimming Cups held in the outdoor pool.
