Ryan McCabe Sets Record In The Lighthouses

Dave Barra reported on The Lighthouses, otherwise known as the 31.8 km Stage 2 from the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge to the Mid-Hudson Bridge in New York’s Hudson River, “A second day of perfect conditions: sunny, little wind, fast currents, flat water.
Swimmers did amazingly. 10 out of 14 finished the swim before the flood current turned on them. Ryan McCabe achieved the overall Stage 2 record in 5:21:37, the fastest time ever.
After several attempts, and on her birthday, Erica Flickinger completed Stage 2.
Seven Stagers, John Batchelder and Andrew Wells, are still in the game.
