Ruben Gonzales, Jade Perry Cross Estrecho de San Carlos

On March 13th, Ruben Gonzales, a professor of English from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Jade Perry who works for British Railway swam a 5 km tandem swim in the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands) from Isla Gran Malvina) (West Falkland) to La Isla Soledad (East Falkland) through the Strait of San Carlos (Falkland Sound) in water temperatures between 9-10°C in 1 hour 26 minutes.

Their careers have ranged widely: Gonzalez and Perry have swum near the Glaciar Perito Moreno in Argentina, in Loch Ness in Scotland, and in Patagonia in Argentina.
