Preparing For a 57K Race From Santa Fe To Coronda

As the young pro athletes prepare for Sunday’s 57 km Maratón Acuática Internacional Santa Fe – Coronda, the local organizers separate the athletes into 3 different pools around the city for training purposes.

Serious about their preparations, they are surrounded by a festive atmosphere wherever they go. “Our pool has this giant water aerobics class in it. It was actually was a huge dance party in the water,” observed Lexie Kelly.

The people of all ages were making formations in circles to upbeat music with tons of great dance moves. There was a crowded lap pool next to it with tons more people in it but they cleared a lane for us. It looks like crazy fun.”
