Polish and Para Champions in the Mixed Relay at the IISA 1st European Championship

51-year-old Jonty Warneken from England, 61-year-old Patricia Heffernan from Ireland, 50-year-old Nicola Doran from Ireland, and 47-year-old Tina Deekan from Germany competed in the 4x50m freestyle relay – as para swimmers against a star-studded able-bodied field at the IISA 1st European Championship in Oradea, Romania.

The event was won by the quartet of Michal Perl, Michał Jagiełło, Marta Piasecka, and Filip Kolodziejski in 1:49.69 over multiple teams from Romania, Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, France, Slovakia, New Zealand, Israel, Italy, and Belgium.

Greece, Luxembourg, Romania, Ukraine, Armenia, Denmark, Hungary, Malta, Russia, Austria, Estonia, Iceland, Moldova, San Marino, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands, Ireland, Monaco, Serbia, Belarus, Finland, Israel, Montenegro, Slovakia, Belgium, France, Italy, Isle of Man, Netherlands, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Croatia, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, Poland, and Switzerland will take part.
