Paso a Nado de los ríos Orinoco y Caroní In Venezuela

The Paso a Nado de los ríos Orinoco y Caroní (Orinoco River Swim) is a popular 3.1 km ocean swim in Bolívar, Venezuela. It is a cross-river swim with nearly 800 participants between the rivers Orinoco and Caroní in Bolívar, Venezuela.

Swimmers come from all across Venezuela, in addition to countries like Chile, United States, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Canada and Uruguay.

The race had a burst of local promotion in 2013 when the local mayor José Ramón López doubled the cash prize if the overall winner is Guayanese and sets a new record, they will take home 50,000 bolivars (US$5,002).
