No Rest Doing Breast To Coney Island

Alan Jay Morrison completed a 7.5-mile marathon swim doing breaststroke from Sandy Hook in New Jersey to Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn, New York.

Lynn Sherr reports, “Alan was aiming to replicate the record set in 1879 by Captain Matthew Webb’s crossing from Sandy Hook to Manhattan Beach. Alas, the tides turned and the currents kept Alan from that, but no one else has ever done the Sandy-to-Coney swim, so all hail Alan for that one.”
