Nikolett Szilágyi kicked off her 2018 LEN Open Water Swimming Cup campaign in victorious fashion in Eilet, Israel over a strong field.
In a close finish, she sprinted home first, defeating Ginevra Taddeucci, an Italian who finished second overall in the 2017 LEN Cup series, 2016 Olympian Anastasiia Krapivina of Russia (8th in the Olympic 10K in Rio), and Martina Grimaldi of Italy (3rd in the Olympic 10K in London) to win the €2500 first prize.
