Nancy Reno Honored As 2018 SPMS Coach Of The Year

Nancy Reno was honored as the 2018 Coach of the Year by the Southern Pacific Masters Swimming.

Reno is the coach of the Conejo Valley Multisport Masters in Thousand Oaks, located north of Los Angeles, California.

In 2018, she coached multiple Southern Pacific Masters Swimming champions, 2 Pan American Games masters champions, 14 Top Ten U.S. Masters Swimming relays, a world record mixed 800m freestyle relay, an open water swimming national champion, 5 All-Americans, 22 FINA Masters Top 10 relays and individuals, and hosted the annual Matt Biondi Classic Swim Meet.

The honor added to her 2009 Speedo U.S. Masters Swimming Coach of the Year award.

Jorge Ferrero also announced the 2018 Southern Pacific Masters Swimming Open Water Series winners:

* Carly Miller (40-44 age group)
* Susan Rinehart (50-54 age group)
* Janice Clark (55-59 age group)

* Katherine Wilson (70-74 age group)

* Luke Hollingsworth (35-39 age group)
* Craig Whiteneck (50-54 age group)
* Charlie Christensen (55-59 age group)
* Steve Sponagle (60-64 age group)
* Thomas Heydorff (65-69 age group)
* Tom Ettinger (70-74 age group)
* Ron Durkee (75-79 age group)
