Rob Woodhouse (Australia, 59, MSF bio here) is the only head of a national swimming delegation to attempt – and succeed at the Oceans Seven.
The Australian bronze medalist from 1984 knows what it takes to swim against the best and to handle Mother Nature in the open water.
Today, he gets to enjoy watching Australia’s best, Moesha “Mo” Johnson (28, Australia, World Aquatics bio here, @swimmer_moesha), race against the best of the Pacific Rim nations at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Long Beach, California.
Johnson, the silver medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the reigning world champion, will headline the women’s 6-loop 10 km course in Marine Stadium against Ichika Kajimoto (22, Japan World Aquatics bio here), Jeannette Spiwoks (27, Germany, World Aquatics bio here) and a quintet of Americans (Mariah Denigan, Katie Grimes, Brinkleigh Hansen, Becca Mann, and Ashley Twichell).
