Mid-winter Open Water Swimming In Israel

While much of the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing a cold, snowy winter and the Southern Hemisphere is baking in the heat, open water swimmers in Israel are somewhere right in the middle.
Gabi Katz, marathon swimming pro Daniel Katzir and friends usually go for a mid-winter dip in the 63.5°F (17.5°C) waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Gabi, founder of the 3 Seas in 3 Days Marathon Swim, shared his recent open water workout in Tel Aviv online.
