Merle Liivand Facing Opportunities In The Open Water

Merle Liivand will represent Estonia at the upcoming FINA World Championships in South Korea and is currently training at high altitude with Israeli and Canadian athletes.

“It seems like more and more countries are recognizing open water and marathon swimming.  There will be lots of athletes heading to World Championship this year. It’s great because swimming needs to be more recognizable. I believe we can build bigger sponsorships to support our sport.”
