Making Waves to Overcome The Japanese Tsunami Disaster

The Japanese International Open Water Swimming Association will host the first International Masters Open Water Swimming competition in support of the Japanese relief efforts of the tsunami and earthquake tragedies in eastern Japan.

The September 11th event will be held in the beautiful Minami Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, just south of Tokyo. It will include a 0.8K and 3K solo races as well as a 2K relay race (500 meters for each of the 4 swimmers).
