Start-up companies from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley are constantly coming up with cool ideas and product ideas.
The San Francisco-based Instabeat is no different.
Its engineers are working on a unique device that attaches to swimming goggles and captures real-time heart rate data as well as the stroke type and number of laps.
What is really cool is that swimmers can visually see the heart rate information as well as and presented in a mobile app.
“We are developing the first waterproof monitor that tracks, stores, and displays instant feedback of the heart rate during your workout. Instabeat’s design fits on any type of swimming goggles with minimal intrusion so athletes can monitor their progress and achieve their peak performance.”
