Have Baby, Will Swim

Verity Westgate recently gave birth to her daughter Grace. But she still had the time, energy, power and motivation to successfully complete a two-way 7-mile swim across Ullswater in 3 hours 37 minutes in 15°C – 16.5°C water, escorted by Colin Hill .

She had started her open water swimming career with the 1-mile Great North Swim in Windermere last year when she raised money for Mind – The Mental Health Charity. “I raise as much money as I can for Mind, who over the last year have done some fantastic work in raising the profile of mental health in the country, and in the government.”
