Disabled Irish swimmer David Burke with family and friends enjoyed a unique birthday cake that celebrates his participation in two separate relays across the North Channel.

The relay completed the 21-mile between Northern Ireland and Scotland in 12 hours 52 minutes in July 2014.

Burke was a member of the Infinity V North Channel Relay Team, a 5-person relay that included Joe Belton, Gillian McShane, Noel Grimes, and Thomas O’Hagan with Ian Conroy and Patricia McParland as crew and Pádraig Mallon as escort pilot in 13 hours 15 minutes in August 2015.
