Hanna Bakuniak Joins Ice Milers In Poland

After finishing 3rd overall in the Ice Kilometer at the IISA 3rd World Championship in Murmansk, Russia and finishing 2nd overall in the 2019 International Ice Swimming Association World Cup Series, 23-year-old Hanna Bakuniak decided to swim a longer distance in cold water.

On December 7th, Bakuniak completed her first Ice Mile in a 25m pool in a river in Gdansk, Poland finishing in 23 minutes 7 seconds in the 3.93°C water. Observer Piotr Biankowski and witness Elina Mäkinen supported her.

* Bogusław Ogrodnik in 35:49 in 3.9°C water on February 20th 2016
* Lezsek Naziemiec in 34:23 in 4.52°C water on March 19th 2017
* Lukasc Tkacz in 35:05 in 4.52°C water on March 19th 2017
* Marcin Trudnowski in 25:56 in 4.52°C water on March 19th 2017
* Marek Grzywa in 40:27 in 4.52°C water on March 19th 2017
* Leszek Naziemiec in 39:39 in 0.3°C water on June 22nd 2017
* Lukasz Tkacz in 45:44 in 0.3°C water on June 22nd 2017
* Marek Grzywa in 34:59 in 0.3°C water on June 22nd 2017
