Hank Wise On His Catalina Channel Crossings

2-time Guinness World Record holder Hank Wise spoke to The Long Beach Century Club members about his Catalina Channel crossings. He started off his speech by talking about mentor and fellow Catalina Channel swimmer Jen Schumacher.

Long Beach Century Club supports thousands of athletes in Long Beach.The Long Beach Century Club was formed in 1957 by 100 Long Beach sports enthusiasts who each contributed US$100. Its members are dedicated to the support of amateur athletics in the city of Long Beach, including the city’s middle schools, high schools and colleges. The Century Club has sent athletes to all corners of the globe for competitions, many whom have returned with World Championship titles and Olympic medals.

Hank Wise received first Guinness World Record for the most number of Catalina Channel crossings in history at the 2019 WOWSA Ocean Fest
Hank Wise received his second Guinness World Record for the fastest Catalina Channel relay crossing together with Samantha Sears, Lyle Nalli, Parks Wesson, Ted Bramble, Lexie Kelley and Matt Mitchell at the 2019 WOWSA Ocean Fest.
