Greatest Open Water Swim Performances Of The Year

The official results of the 2009 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year poll are below.

Over 35,000 individuals from 158 countries voted online in the three increasingly popular awards sponsored by blueseventy.

The award is meant to honor individuals who (1) best embody the spirit of open water swimming, (2) possesses the sense of adventure, tenacity and perseverance that open water swimmers are known for, and (3) have most positively influenced the world of open water swimming.
