Goggles For Guppies Does Good
Courtesy of Goggles for Guppies, Mission Viejo, California.
In 2011, Goggles for Guppies was co-founded by Chris Hales and Matt Hales, twin 12-year-old brothers who are competitive age-group swimmers at the Mission Viejo Nadadores in Southern California.
Over the last 7 years, the brothers have distributed over 20,000 new swimsuits, caps and goggles to encourage underprivileged, at-risk children to learn to swim. They solicit and accept donations of unsold inventory from sporting goods manufacturers, distributors and retailers for distribution to learn-to-swim programs internationally and throughout the United States that provide basic swimming skills to disadvantaged kids.
The pair have introduced a new program: Goggles for Guppies will provide 20 randomly selected, new male and female Speedo, TYR or Arena swim suits as a gift for every donation of US$40.
