FINA Open Water Swimming Seminar In Roberval

FINA will host an Open Water Swimming Seminar on July 19th Hôtel Château Roberval during the 2010 World Open Water Swimming Championships.

Each national federation attending the 6th FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships can send their representatives where many luminaries of the sport will give talks and participate in panel discussions Pierre Lafontaine, CEO of Swimming Canada, will give a keynote speech on Preparation of Athletes for the Open Water and the Organisation of Open Water Swimming in Canada.

Dr. Jim Miller of the FINA Sports Medicine Committee will give a presentation on Optimal Hydration and Nutritional Needs of Open Water Swimmers.

Panel discussions will cover Promotion of Open Water Swimming around the World and Training World-class Open Water Swimmers where visionaries like Sam Greetham (shown above), event manager for the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Games, will participate.
