Early Season Triumphs In The Channel

Besides Team Outrageous in the English Channel and the CHOC-charity swimmers from Mission Viejo, Tanner Cridland, Kellie Fecarotta, Natalie Malicki, Danny Miller, Sasha Westberg, and Derek Young, across the Catalina Channel this early channel swimming season, the season has already seen numerous other swimmers join the exclusive English Channel club:

On June 21st, the Team of Worth, piloted by Neil Streeter, in 13:13 made an early-season success. On June 25th, the Mile High Channel Hoppers, piloted by Eddie Spelling, was also successful in 10:48 as was the Nuriwai Relay, piloted by Lance Oram, in 13:07 on June 30th.

Team Forex (Sam Soliman, Bruno Chauviere, Nell Pascall, Belinda Whittall and Chantal Shalhoub), piloted by Neil Streeter, was also successful on June 30th in 15:47. A day later, the Truro Channel Swimmers Relay, piloted by Lance Oram, reached the French shores in 14:07. The same day, the Webbed Feet Relay, piloted by Alison Streeter (13:11), the Wings Big Swim Relay, piloted by Eddie Spelling (14:08), and Andrew Wilkins, piloted by Chris Osmond (13:51), joined the esteemed Channel swimming community.

On July 2nd, the Dover & Over Relay, piloted by Alison Streeter (13:23), and the 2-way Deja-vu Relay, piloted by Eddie Spelling (23:19 with the first leg in 11:41 and the return trip in 11:38).

On July 3rd, Andrew Flanagan (on left), piloted by Alison Streeter (12:01), the Channel Arch to Arch Triathlon Relay, piloted by Lance Oram (14:32), and Leigh Fagg, Paul Foreman (14:17), were all successful. Today, the Iryna Kennedy Relay, piloted by Lance Oram (12:44), joined the club.
