Dr. Jim Miller, widely considered to be the world’s foremost medical professional when it comes to competitive open water swimming, gave a series of educational lectures at the 2011 Global Open Water Swimming Conference at Columbia University this weekend in New York City.
His talks ranged from advice regarding hyperthermia, hypothermia, recovery and hydration as well as guidance on how to deal with marine life in oceans and lakes around the world.
