Don’t PASS Up These Open Water Swims

Dick Sidner announced the 2012 Planet Adventure Swimming Series (PASS), three open water swims in Noblesville in central Indiana, USA.

The PASS events include the PASS 1K/2K held on May 26th in Morse Park & Beach, the PASS 5K that is run in conjunction with the 5K U.S. Masters Swimming National Championships on June 23th in South Harbour Club House Beach, and the PASS 2K/4K on August 26th in Morse Park & Beach.

Swimmers must be annual members of U.S. Masters Swimming or they can purchase a one-day license from USMS for an additional US$15. Plaques will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and medals to the top swimmers in each male and female age group.

For the first race, the PASS 1K/2K, the water temperature is expected to be cold and wetsuits are legal in a separate division. For the second race, the PASS 5K course is a 5K loop marked with 16 buoys with the water expected to be near 78°F (+/-5°F). The third race, the PASS 2K/4K, is held on a triangular 1K course where two or four laps will complete the race.
