“The storm is nearly passed, so it looks like I’ll be continuing my swim across the Pacific soon,” writes Ben Lecomte on his blog about Tropical Storm Maliksi that crashed right through his intended course. “It is time to put all those feelings of setback behind me and focus on using our time waiting out the storm to increase our chance of success at sea.”
Lecomte will get back in the water soon after a temporary halt to his 8,721 km transoceanic stage swim across the Pacific Ocean between Japan and California.
Stay tuned about The Swim here and on The Swim website.
Lecomte’s live tracker can be seen here and a Facebook link is here as escort pilot Yoav Nevo gets the Discoverer revved up again and heads out to the Pacific for calmer waters.
