Aquapreneurs Daniel Takata Gomes, Guilherme Freitas and Patrick Winkler of Brazil won the 2012 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year for The Swim Channel Magazine.

Takata is a statistician, professor and reporter of pool and open water swimming. He has won three consecutive FINA Aquatics World Magazine competitions.

After reporting on over 200 competitions in Brazil and the FINA World Championships, Takata will report on the swimming competitions at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He will be the special commentator for the pool swimming races and the 10 km marathon swim on Copacabana Beach for SporTV which is the sporting channel of Globo TV in South America.
