Ceinwen Roberts is a force in the open water. In addition to completing the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with crossings of the English Channel and Catalina Channel and a circumnavigation swim around Manhattan Island, she was the first person to complete a three-way 59.2 km Rotto crossing (together with Rohan Hollick) and to complete a circumnavigation swim around Rottnest Island.
She also coaches a squad of 300 swimmers in Perth and had 4 swimmers to cross the English Channel in 2018 and has another 6 attempts in 2020. This August, she is traveling with 2 swimmers attempting a crossing of the Catalina Channel in California.
But her global reach really extends with the founding of the Port to Pub Swim from Leighton to Rottnest where swimmers have a choice between a 19.7 km or 25 km race.
She says, “It has been a huge success with 600 swimmers in the first year and 1200 swimmers this year. The 20 km swim is open to solos, duos, and teams of four and six. The 25 km marathon swim is open to qualified solo swimmers.”
