Cadiz Heritage Day Swim Set In Cold Atlantic

Cold water swimmers wearing only traditional swimwear will take on the cold Atlantic on Saturday in the Cadiz Heritage Day Swim (2.5K or 5K race) to celebrate the country’s cultural diversity and to raise funds for the elderly.

The swim is part of the Cadiz Swim Series, a host of cold water sea swims which promote open water swimming and raise funds for good causes.

The Cadiz Heritage Day Swim takes place in Granger Bay where the water temperature is 13°C or colder in rough seas and large swells.

The entry fees and a donation from the Cadiz Foundation will make up a total of R10,000 to be donated to the Neighbourhood Old Age Homes (NOAH).
