Swimmers are often swimming “for the oceans” or participating in events to “save the oceans.”

Their environmental awareness is passionate, but concrete actions seem to be less well-defined. What can and should an environmental-conscious swimmer do to help save the oceans?

“There are so many things people can do,” says Bruckner Chase. “But people can also just focus on one thing, whatever their interest. It can be anything from doing beach clean-ups to eating fish intelligently.”
