Mitchel Schoenfeld (65), Linda Stewart (30), Landon Ascheman (38), Arlo Lorenz (42), Ashley Gregory (33), Bryan Hill (30), and Karl Kingery (30) are the first 7 swimmers who have registered for the 58 km Extreme North Dakota Watersports Endurance Test (END-WET) is a down-river swim where they will traverse the Red River of the North from Belmont Park in rural North Dakota into downtown East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
The race on June 15th 2019 is limited to 40 solo swimmers and 10 teams in the following categories:
* Solo swim: traditional, FINA suit rules apply
* Solo swim: non-traditional – wetsuits are allowed
* Relay swim: doubles
* Relay swim: recreational, 3-5 team members

Landon Ascheman will be competing in his sixth END-WET. He completed the 2013 race in 9 hours 24 minutes, the 2014 race in 9 hours 56 minutes, the 2017 race in 15 hours 7 minutes, the 2018 race in 14 hours 25 minutes, and aborted the 2015 race at mile 15 after 12 hours 54 minutes.
