
The Toughman Westchester 1 Mile Open Water Swim is part of the Toughman Westchester Triathlon (@toughmantri) held on September 21st at Rye Playland in Rye, New York.
The rectangular open water course is expected to be flat and warm, but is also highly competitive and allows wetsuits. There will be 4 heats and disabled swimmers are encouraged to participate.
The course is held in Rye Playland, an iconic amusement park, beach, and waterfront destination. It is a National Historic Landmark located on the Long Island Sound, established in 1928.
The Toughman Westchester Triathlon Series includes several different races including the TOUGHMAN Westchester Olympic Triathlon, TOUGHMAN Westchester Olympic Duathlon, TOUGHMAN Westchester Olympic Aquabike, TOUGHMAN Westchester Olympic Collegiate Triathlon and attracts 1,000 competitors of all ages.
